The GRAMCORD Institute Annual Software Exhibition

Institute staff, Associate Scholars, colleagues, and friends gathered at
The GRAMCORD Institute's Biblical Software Exhibition at the American
Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature Annual Meeting in Philadelphia,
November 18-21, 1995. The twelve members of the GRAMCORD Institute
conference "team" -- our biggest exhibit staff contingent ever --
conducted software demonstrations throughout each day on seven computers
and one large-screen color projection system. Macintosh users thronged
to the first public demonstration of the upcoming Accordance 2.0 with GRAMCORD
for the Macintosh (under the able leadership of Accordance author
Dr. Roy Brown and assisted by Dr. Helen Brown and Dr. Rex Koivisto). Windows
users witnessed the first public demonstration of the new GRAMCORD
Greek New Testament for Windows w/BibleCompanion by Multnomah Bible College
professor and Institute Associate Scholar Dr. Dale Wheeler.
The conference also provides an opportunity for an annual meeting
of the entire GRAMCORD Institute Board of Directors under the leadership
of Institute President Dr. D. A. Carson and Vice-President Dr. Dennis Magary.
Our thanks are extended to "staff photographer" Kathy Wheeler and the
digitization efforts of Donald Reiher for capturing these thrilling and
memorable moments in AAR/SBL conference history. These photos illustrate
what our users have known all along: Of all of the Institutes out there,
The GRAMCORD Institute is one of the most interesting ones.
Seminary graduates are likely to spot a familiar face among the
photographs -- over 8000 professors were registered for the conference.
NOTE: No Biblical scholars were harmed during the filming of this conference retrospective.
