Fill the entire screen with Greek text -- or divide the screen with Greek above and GRAMCORD parsing information below. Just touch any Greek word in the text with your stylus and instantly parse that word!

We call it GRAMCORD Lite because it brings you those "basics" of the GRAMCORD Greek NT that you are most likely to need while traveling, worshipping, and studying -- and without having to carry a bulky laptop. View the Greek text and tap any word and see the "grammatical breakdown" at the bottom of the screen (including the lexical listing form). Do simple searches or quickly bring up one of the free Bible modules (ASV, KJV, Young's, or non-English modern Bibles) or order your favorite modern translation (NASB, NASB with Strong's, NKJV, NLT, CEV, LBLA, RSV, NRSV, RV, TEV). Create bookmarks, choose from four different desktops, and select your favorite "verse chooser" method. Of course, you don't have to be a Windows users to enjoy GRAMCORD Lite. The manufacturers of most handheld computers offer "auto-syncing" software for Macintosh users. You simply download the software from our FTP area on the Internet and transfer it from your Macintosh to your handheld.

Because handheld computers are still an evolving technology, we still consider GRAMCORD Lite experimental -- but thousands of users are enjoying this exciting addition to the GRAMCORD family. If you experience any problems with your unit, let us know. We try to post new editions as fast as we can. (For legal reasons, we do not officially promise perpetual free downloadable updates. Yet, it has been our tradition to offer free download updates for almost all of our software titles. Yes! GRAMCORD Lite modules include Greek accents & Hebrew vowel points!

We've not yet updated all of our webpages but you should know that both the Palm and PocketPC versions of GRAMCORD Lite include full greek accenting/diacritical marks -- and you may also order our $40 Hebrew MT text module with full vowel pointing! (Hebrew parsings and Princeton BDB Lexicon are offered as a $30 add-on module.) We also have a Septuagint text-only module for $35 and have recently added the optional LXX parsed module ($40) so as to produce a Septuagint GRAMCORD Lite. It presently includes as a free bonus the LEH Septuagint Lexicon (J. Lust, E. Eynikel, and K. Hauspie, with the collaboration of G. Chamberlain). GRAMCORD Lite continues to grow and improve. DOWNLOADING GRAMCORD Lite & RELATED MODULES

Most of our users acquire their Palm and PocketPC software from our FTP server. However, anyone without access to the Internet or anyone not wishing to deal with downloading large files through a slow dialup connection (broadband speeds are recommended) may request a CDROM for $15 shipping/handling. (Nevertheless, downloading from our FTP server is the best way to always be sure of getting the current version of the software.)

Most of our users acquire their Palm and PocketPC software modules from our two FTP server. The GRAMCORD Institute maintains a server at http://www.GRAMCORD.org/ftp. You can simply start at the "top" of the server address and click your way through the appropriate folder names. (If you call or email us to report that a server is busy, we will ask you to please try again at another time.

** UPDATING BIBLE READER & GRAMCORD Lite (for Palm & Pocket PC) **

All of our on-line downloadable updates to the various PDA database modules also include an update to the BibleReader program. It is VERY IMPORTANT that users install the BibleReader update program whenever installing an updated database module from our websites. Failing to do so will almost certainly lead to error messages about missing or incompatible files. So once again: ALWAYS update your BibleReader program whenever downloading/installing a database update for your Palm or PocketPC! For your convenience, the latest BibleReader program accompanies each database download. Save yourself wasted time by installing to the latest version of all databases and BibleReader before contacting support@OliveTree.com. In the vast majority of instances, updating BibleReader will solve any error messages.

GRAMCORD Lite & BibleReader Updates (posted 8/21/07)

All licensed users may download BibleReader, GRAMCORD Lite GNT, HMT, LXX, and other modules whenever they are updated on our server--or at any other time. (Changes in the individual file dates indicate the posting of new versions.) Visit http://www.GRAMCORD.org/ftp/Handheld for all downloads. Instructions appear in the appropriately named .rtf and .htm files on the server. Within the PalmPilot and PocketPC folders, you will find the Auto_Installations and Manual_Installations folder. The "automated" installations are meant for installations managed from Windows computers connected to the handheld computer. The manual installations are required for most other situations. We invite GRAMCORD Lite users to explore the various folders including the folders marked "miscellaneous" (and MISC) for various public domain Bibles and Bible reference modules. (NOTE: Some of the older modules may be zipped/packaged with various older versions of the BibleReader program for the use of the general public. Fully-licensed users should be careful NOT to replace their updated/current BibleReader program with older versions of BibleReader.)

FREE HIGH RESOLUTION GREEK/HEBREW FONTS FOR GCL USERS!

OliveTree Software has released experimental alternative Greek/Hebrew fonts for Pocket PC users with CE 3.0 & above and for Palm users with Palm OS 5 & above. These can be used instead of the more "basic" fonts which accompany our various Greek and Hebrew modules. Many GRAMCORD Lite users are raving about the clarity and detail of these new fonts. If you have a PDA with one of the aforementioned newer operating systems, you may download the appropriate font from the links described below. If you have an operating system predating the aforementioned version numbers, you should ignore these fonts. (Also, if you are not experienced in downloading files and installing fonts to your handheld PDA, you may want to ask an expert friend to help you or defer using Hi-Res fonts for now.)
